Swimming Tuition is available on an individual or group basis.

Rastrick  Pool  is a newly designed purpose built teaching pool opened in 2002 to replace the original which had been used since 1993.  It is dedicated solely for use of Swimrite Pupils, with warmer pool water suitable for babies through to intermediate standard. This also makes it less intimidating for the nervous toddler right through to nervous adults who have tried elsewhere and not succeeded and thought they never would. There is a dedicated seated viewing area for parents with ample space.   

In May 1997 Swimrite Leisure opened its newly designed and purpose built swimming pool in Ploughcroft, Halifax.  It was designed purely to accommodate 3 teaching stations at any one time. It is a dedicated teaching & training pool solely for the use of Swimrite Members’, catering from babies classes through to honours standard leading to competitive level at local swimming clubs.

We run through all school holidays and most of the public bank holidays.
If closed due to bank holiday there will be notices informing you at each swimming pool.

We run lessons in Blocks of 10.

We would like to welcome you to the very best swimming school in the locality.

We are proud of the high number of children who have passed all grades and reached their honours award.  Many of these children have become competitive swimmers and excelled.  Others have trained with ourselves to become dedicated swimming teachers within Swimrite.

We never tell a child that they have not passed an award, We always endeavour to find something they have been successful at within their lessons, whether it is a distance award or technique award.  Your child will not leave empty handed at our badge time.  Usually in the months of Jan May Sept ( if they have been attended for at least 10 weeks).  There is no charge for these awards.

 

OUR TEACHING STAFF

We pride ourselves with having the most caring and highly qualified teachers, dedicated solely to their profession, some having developed their skills over the many years of experience they have gained working at swimrite leisure.

Certain teachers have also been successful competitive swimmers to a very high level.  This makes a real difference, it enables them to get in the water and actually show the pupils exactly what to do and how easy it is to do it.   Far more successful than standing on the poolside demonstrating.
